There’s only a few moments in life that I have to take time out and appreciate the perfection that life has to share.
On a whim, my fiancé and I went to a restaurant I pass nearly twice a week. This restaurant had received great reviews by foodie bloggers, but not by anyone I know from that area. Nestled right on top of primi piatti in randpark ridge is Mizu.
Mizu is a small restaurant which is known for its champagne and oysters. It also serves sushi and has an extensive champagne and wine list. It’s never really busy which was a red flag for me because the food was to die for.
We were greeted by Portia, our waitress for the evening who knew the menu inside out as she was quick to recommend this tempura sushi thing. I cannot tell you how delicious is was. There are no words to explain the “mouth-gasm” I experienced when I ate that. To explain what it was, it’s a california roll with tempura prawn nestled in between topped of with mayonnaise and sweet chilli sauce.
After eating that we were too excited to try more things on the menu. We then moved onto the normal tempura prawns which again were absolutely phenomenal. I crave the taste of tempura prawns, now and then and what I ate last night hit exactly the right spots.
Then we moved onto fashion sandwiches, sashimi and more wine!
Again I have to emphasise the freshness of the fish. Just thinking about it, makes me salivate.
Service, food, hospitality, ambiance, wine selection, I give Mizu gets an impressive 8/10.
Thank you to Portia, the manager (who’s name I can’t remember sorry) and the chefs who made excellent food.
