Little hidden pizza place

Took my daughter to the zoo for the first time today. All day she ran around so excited and impressed other people with her knowledge.

I was so glad we ate before because the price of food there was so expensive. I understand they have a lot of tourists coming but damn, you don’t go to the zoo to get a meal. That made the drive home so exciting because I got to pick where we ate.

I was all for some pizza but from previous posts, you know I’m really picky. My husband told me of a little pizza restaurant hidden in Northcliff /Berrario.

It’s called Casalottis and they do have an American/modern take on pizzas which had me a little scared because the worst pizza created was the deep dish which I really think is an American tradition.

From their comprehensive menu, one stood out the most for me. The Italiano has prosciutto/ parma ham, rocket, parmesean cheese and a balsamic glaze. How can you top that?

Besides anchovies on a margherita pizza this has to be my second best pizza combo. To top it off, it’s a wood fried oven and wafer thin base.
I hope they get a lot of business because their positioning is horrible. You can’t see them from the main road and there’s no parking in front of the store so you literally have to search for them. Oh well,  not my problem but well done on the great pizza
