Starting off the year was the best meet up group on this planet: Wine and Belgium Beer Connect. As usual with this meet up, you meet new friends and catch up with old ones. Sat with my good wine buddy Lindi and she introduced us to some of her partner’s Mexican friends. This made me conclude that they are probably the friendliest people I’ve ever met.

Okay back to the wine, today’s pairing was with a vineyard, I have never heard of called Dieu Donne. They are located in Franschoek and have the privilege of being located right at the top of the hill which apparently people never see. But I am of the opinion that top of the hill means you have the best wine.

I usually take a million photos but for some reason, I spent more time in conversation than taking photos. That’s a good thing right?

I was a little disappointed to not taste some bubbly and cab sav, but I did manage to buy 3 bottles of cab sav and 3 bottles of the unwooded chardonnay.
