#Dubai2017: Food, food and food

So, I know it’s late but an experience like this is not exactly something you forget so I guess it’s better late than never!

I spent just over a week with my friends in the UAE for a well-deserved girl’s trip. We couldn’t keep it just the girls as we shipped my best guy friend, Jason aka Jet knight aka ‘my halfie’ aka my soul buddy from Abu Dhabi for the weekend. I’m so glad he was there because he introduced to the best strip of restaurants that led to my food obsession. Amazing holiday planner and travel fundi, Gabbi, found this place in Jumeirah Beach residence which just happens to be the hottest tourist hostpot in Dubai. WiFi, jogging trail, an amazing beach, hookah bar, night market and of course every restaurant you can think of. In my quest to taste as much food as I can, I managed to review over 10 restaurant which made me officially an expert of the popular beach.

One thing that needs to be mentioned is that the UAE is a desert. I know it seems so stupid that I needed to mention it but you forget when you’re there. Every place has air conditioning, there is an abundance of water and the food is so fresh like it was grown right there!

Sadly, I only tasted Arabic food on one occasion which was really tasty and reminded me a lot of Lebanese food. The rest of the holiday included finding the most tasty food that didn’t break the budget because we all know that the South African Rand is more unstable than an active volcano.

And here’s a visual feast of some of the restaurants and food we ate:

To Gabbi, Melissa, Stace and Jason.

Thank you for being there with me in Dubai. This holiday was way too short. Hopefully it doesn’t take us 10 years to plan the next one! I love you all as my closest friends and confidants!
