Part of the reason why we choose fast food is because of the cost. We can spend minutes in a grocery store looking at the normal bread and banking bread amd although we want to treat our bodies as temples, we tend to think more with our pockets.
I am no stranger to that, believe me. There are a lot of questionable decisions I take when it comes to eating healthy and haven’t really taken the time out to look for places that serve fresh food, wholesome ingredients “from the ground to my mouth”.
But thankfully, I have the most curious husband who by chance came across this hidden gem.
Nestled in a far part of Deco Park in Northriding, is somethong called The Health food emporium. I was a little preoccupied the entire time I was there (6 month old teething baby) but I did get to enjoy a delicious fresh beet juice and gluten and sugar free brownie.
Upon entry, you’re greeted by a friendly server who seated us and took our drink orders. I love when the owner comes to greet you and we got that today. Behind us was this giant silver barrel of raw honey. If the place was empty, I would’ve put my open mouth under the nozzle and pumped some out, because raw honey is my kryptonite.

We brought my granny in law (sounds weird but yes that’s right) here to stock up on some supplies and we landed up buying more than her.
If you don’t sit down for healthy meal, come in to buy their products. From goji berries to cocoa powder, you can purchase untouched foods at factory prices. Yes, factory prices.
I do feel like I didn’t do thos place justice as I was a little distracted. So, I’ll come back alone and write about this place after getting to know the owner more. For now, here’s some snaps of the place and what we ate.
