Hash out: The perfect start to the day

Sometimes all you need is 20 minutes a day to make a breakfast that good, you tell the world about it.

The base of this meal and what makes it delicious is the simplified hash brown. No egg, or onion, you need to highlight, what I call, the best veggie ever, the potato. Just grate, season and fry. I have one of those cool panini press things which makes it so easy to cook.

That takes the longest to cook so make sure you start with that. The last thing you need is an undercooked potato.

While the hash is frying, I took out budget bacon bits and friend them with no oil until they were charred on the ends. In the same pan in the leftover bacon Grease, fry an egg the way you prefer. I love the wet yolk and completely cooked egg white.

The fresh components you can add are spring/green onion, tomato and to show off, I added some cubed cheese. Feta would have been great but all I had was gouda. Not to worry as it was delicious.

Each component added another level of flavour which just made this meal one of those where you lick the plate clean.

Feel free to let me know what you think!
