I rarely make sweet breakfasts because I don’t have a sweet tooth at all. I came a cross this recipe on a popular recipe sharing app, Cookpad and when I saw that u had all the ingredients, I just had to try it.
Note: oats are already thick so make sure you put thin layer of batter on the pan
Ingredients
- 750 ml rolled or normal Oats
- 500 ml Milk or milk alternative, almond, soy or coconut
- 4 eggs
- 30 ml Melted butter or oil
- 2 Apples cubed or 2 Bananas sliced
- 30 ml Golden Syrup, Honey or Maple syrup
- 5 ml Vanilla, optional
- 5 ml Cinnamon
- 20 ml Baking powder
- 2.5 ml Salt
Method
- To make the batter, I put everything in the blender on high to create a smooth and thick batter, ready for cooking.
- After greasing a pan, I slowly added 3 round batters to the pan. I waited for bubbles before I turned them over
- Then I removed them from the pan and let me rest.
- For the candied apples, I used a mandolin to thinly slice the apples. I then added them to a sugar and water mixture on the stove a boiled them until they were thick and gooey like syrup.
You will love this recipe for its gluten free nature and how incredibly filling it is.
