My plan was to take today off and just relax. It’s a Sunday, my sports teams knew yesterday and my throat hurts so I think I’m getting sick.

But then Google reminded me that I have an anniversary today and I knew that I had to post something.

Having this blog has provided me with a platform to speak. This platform has been a great way to express my thoughts, vent about things that irritate me, connect with other like minded people and the most important part was that I could pass on my knowledge and also be educated.

When I started this blog it was about wine and food and while it still is, I’ve bravely ventured into other aspects of life which I tend to document here and there.

I love this blog because coupled with the great people in my life and my followers, I have seen life with a different eye. I see how my tone has changed, my style has evolved and I do think my writing has captivated more viewers.

So I’m going to end off with a delicious meal that my husband and I enjoyed this morning while I was nursing a very mild gin hangover.

This meal was from Doppio zero, the queen of breakfasts but they didn’t quite hit the nail on the head with these meals. While they delivered on presentation, execution and small misjudgements on mixing flavours and textures plagued this meal. The portion sizes themselves were very generous and wait staff were friendly and fast.

Oh and you know how I love hollandaise sauce, this one wasn’t it… Nice try though.
